Fighting Accident Response Fees - Local Governments Capitalizing on Motorist Misfortune
The Property Casualty Insurers Association of America (PCI) is a vocal opponent
of municipalities charging accident response fees when police or fire
department personnel respond to a traffic accident. To help educate the public
about this practice PCI has released a new video.
As citizens, we pay for emergency services through our property and other local
taxes. These fees for basic emergency services are just another way for local
government to impose a new hidden tax we call the Accident Tax. If your local
government is considering charging an accident response fee or already has one
in place, visit
www.acci
denttax.com or
www.calcrashtax.com to see how other communities are
responding and how you can fight back.
